Halloween Cards Revisited 3

This is the third and final post where I am updating my reviews of halloween cards.

In Flash Halloween Cards I reviewed cards from Halloween4u.com All the old favorites are still there plus a few new ones too. Here are three I picked out:

Fightful Fun has all the elements - a black cat, ghost and swooping bat with giant fangs plus a skeletal accompanist on the drums.

The Monster Shoot Game is a big hit, but has little to do with halloween.

However Knock on the Door of Evil is a real halloween monster with skulls and ghosties a plenty.

The site I quoted for Collectors' Halloween Cards is now all into sci fi and UFOs, but I've found another at Retrocrush. Here you will find "the recipe for catching a man - With a goose wishbone and four pumpkin seeds marked with letters love, On Halloween place over door…and he who first passes under, your future husband is to be – if he don’t blunder".

Well that completes my update of the halloween card sites that I reviewed back in 2006. It's good to find that most are still in business and that there are some interesting additions to their collections. If you have any particular favorites please leave a comment with the details.

Halloween Cards Revisited 2

Now for the next group of halloween cards. In my post Light Halloween Cards I described this group as just plain cartoons with a punchline. They are still the same as you can see here, but there is another section of halloween ecards on this site. There is a large selection including animated cards, but the quality is not great.

In Scary Halloween Cards I reviewed cards from Funegreets.com As I said these cards are meant for a more mature audience, so you may find some of them rather too strong for your taste.

In Funny Halloween Cards I looked at the collection from Funny-eCards.com These appear to be the same as before, so my previous comments are still relevant.

Halloween Cards Revisited

Wow - is it really three years since I created this blog? It's about time I updated the Halloween Card reviews so here is what I've found.

Encardia seems to have exactly the same selection of cards as before, so you can see my comments at the original post here.

Bloom by AG have moved and are now part of American Greetings.com. They only seem to have two halloween cards. "Release your inner bitch" which I mentioned in the previous post and "Classic & refined . . . but it's the wicked inside that counts" which is not particularly inspiring.

Birthday Alarm.com have nearly doubled their selection of halloween cards. There are now five categories - Funny, Cute, Interactive, Spooky and Elegant plus party invites. As in my previous post I think the Interactive are the most fun and they now rate "Candy Game" as the most popular.

In the Funny section two new offerings are "Rockabilly Halloween" which is lively and fun as opposed to "Headless Norseman" a rather boring joke.

In the Spooky category "Fright Night" is apparently the most popular, but the new "Scary Halloween" certainly lives up to its name.

That's enough for now. I'll revisit the others in my next post.
